Looking back, I think the Elders there were trying to keep this get-together a secret from the ZLs and APs since technically food gatherings weren't allowed at this time during the pandemic (for missionaries). Oh well, at least the get-together was wholesome.

Happy Independence Day!
We had a small barbecue with a few other Elders in our district. One of the Elders from Tonga did a great job grilling the burgers and chicken.
In the part of San Diego I came from, very few fireworks were set off, so I was not at all prepared for the utter insanity of fireworks being set off in Ogden this evening. It was just non-stop! It sounded like a war zone all night long. 'Twas very pretty, but also such a surreal experience.
