I personally am not a big fan of stone tile walkways/platforms like this, because the noise of sand scraping my shoes (and then my sand-covered shoes scraping some other surface) makes me uncomfortable kinda like nails on a chalkboard. Perhaps you could say I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

We did another service project for Sister Martinez (the bat lady w/ German Shepherd dogs). The tiles we helped move a couple of weeks ago are being repurposed for a backyard patio she's making. Since this was a larger task, Elders Strat & Moray joined us.
First, we laid out the tiles and moved them around to find the best fit. (it's like a jigsaw puzzle but all the pieces are large dumbbells.
Then, we poured sand in-between and under the tiles so they were level & stable.
