I'll give clarification to it later, but the "Gift of Tongues" and the "Gift of the Interpretation of Tongues" are spiritual gifts we believe the Holy Ghost gives to any missionary assigned to speak a language they don't have much experience with yet. We believe those gifts are behind some really remarkable big and small stories of missionaries communicating with people at a level of language that is several steps above what they have learned / are comfortable with. We believe there are other spiritual gifts as well, usually revolving around the Holy Ghost helping with one or more soft skills like patience, wisdom, discernment, healing words, etc. I had specific spiritual gifts I was set apart with when I started my mission, and I found multiple times they came to fruition. But those are stories for other days.

Makes me wonder if missionaries with the "gift of the interpretation of tongues" can understand phone garble more easily. (joking)
